Machinability, excellent weldability, good corrosion resistance, and a strength level similar to mild steel makes 6061 T651 temper a popular general-purpose alloy. 6061’s many uses include general tooling and jig plate, electronics, non-structural aircraft parts, storage tanks, and consumer products, and it has a lower cost than most other higher strength aerospace aluminum alloys.
Our 6061 T651 aluminum plate has an unpolished (mill) surface and has a standard tolerance. It meets one or all of the following specifications:

The 6061 aluminum alloy is heat treatable. This aluminum has a T651 temper, meaning it has been heat treated for increased strength and stretched to reduce stress.
