Future Alloys was founded in 1982 by Ira Shadrow, the second generation in a family of metal distributors. Ira started out by purchasing excess inventories and remnants from the aerospace industry. This material was marketed at discounted prices to local machine shops in the Southern California area. At that time the company consisted of Ira, a desk, a phone and a pickup truck.
In 1985 our current General Manager, Amy Zarachoff, joined the team. The company was founded and has prospered on the principals of integrity, responsive service and exceeding customer expectations.

What’s happening today

From those humble beginnings, Future Alloys has grown to its present 34,000 square foot service center in Chatsworth, California. We have developed close relationships with our domestic and international mill suppliers. We warehouse an extensive inventory, totaling several thousand line items of high strength 2024, 6061 and 7075 aluminum alloys, in the forms of plate up to 12” thick, flat bar, and rod up to 20” diameter. Future Alloys also maintains in-house capability in state of the art sawing and processing equipment. Our investment in material and machinery allows us to fill your aluminum needs at competitive prices on time, including “same day, rush shipments”.

In an industry continuing to consolidate into the hands of a few huge “faceless conglomerates”, we proudly remain an independent, family owned business. We respond promptly to all emailed inquiries. Phone calls are answered by a “real, live person”.

Our new website features a proprietary online ordering system, so that you can obtain pricing information and place custom “cut to size” orders anytime at your convenience. Please let us know how we may be of service.
